This is how wonderful our day has been.
We wanted to do something different this weekend since it started to get colder and take our Little Nubecita for a stroll outdoors. A friend of ours posted pictures of this amazing place, Storm King Art Center, last week and it looked breathtaking.
It was a beautiful 1-hour drive from our place and the foliage all around these areas are just a picture perfect. We got there at noon and there was already a line of cars on the road but it went by pretty fast.
Stefan and I had a great afternoon walking non-stop for hours into these amazing fields surrounded by gigantic sculptures. It’s all art, colors, and nature. Hannah would not stop looking all around and we loved to see how much fun she was having. We decided to put her on the ground on top of a hill so we could explain to her what she was looking at, and she would give us the biggest giggles and smiles ever. The wind would blow and she would rIse her arms showing us how much she felt it and enjoyed it. It’s the same smile and gesture like the first time we took her to the beach and she felt the breeze.
Every day she shows us how blessed we are but it’s days like this one where not only we feel blessed, but also we are amazed to see how much she’s grown, how healthy she is and the happiness she radiates everywhere.
Baby steps… enjoying them each one to its fullest!
I was surprised to know it´s been years living in NY and I had never been to Storm King. Anyone that has visited this place would agree with me and who hasn´t been here… it´s a must during the fall season.
